Les Moissons is a superb cottage that was once the bake-house at La Haute Mare. It has been renovated to a high standard, offering comfortable, well equipped accommodation. Three lovely bedrooms in the main part plus a separate annex bedroom, accessed from the terrace, that has it's own en-suite shower room & toilet. The cottage has its own sunny terrace for outdoor meals. It shares the large heated fenced pool, the large lawn grounds, the table tennis and boules etc with the other property - Les Semailles and one B&B studio.
Les Moissons is a spacious child friendly property that is ideal for family holidays. There is a bar/shop and take-away pizzaria in the village, a small supermarket and a two restaurants at 5 minutes by car and town amenities at nearby Ste Hermine. The Vendee coast is within easy reach - 20 miles to La Faute sur Mer. Half an hour from a leisure lake with beach, canoes, pedalos and children's activities.
Near to the town of Lucon and within easy reach of Fontenay le Comte, the Mervent forest, Green Venice and the Puy du Fou theme park. Good for cycling, including forest trails at nearby St Gemme la Plaine.
Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor - Lounge/dining room with fitted kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom, separate toilet, utility room. First Floor - Spiral staircase, leading to delightful double bedroom, en-suite shower room with toilet. Adjacent annex (access via the terrace) - twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Fully equipped, including : Satellite TV (Most English channels), DVD, Wi-Fi Internet access, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, etc. Terrace with garden dining furniture, built-in barbecue. Off-road parking. Central heating.
Sharing: Heated fenced pool, 12m x 6m, depth 0.90m to 1.6m, large lawn grounds, covered table tennis, boules, badminton,children's play houses (fort, chalet, gypsy caravan, car), sand pit.
Pool open & heated from late May to mid September. Quilts, blankets, square pillows with pillow cases supplied. Sheets & towels for hire.
The owners live on site (some English spoken).
