A superb character farmhouse and adjacent water-mill, set in an idyllic rural location on the banks of the river Sevre.
This accommodation can be rented together with a superb function room for weddings and other events. Rentals are usually organised around week-end dates.
The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms, sleeping 8 to 10 and the water-mill accommodates a further 6 to 8 people in 3 bedrooms. There is a private heated swimming pool at the farmhouse and a lovely covered outdoor jacuzzi at the mill. The large grounds go down to the river bank, but each property is fenced from the river. The chateaux and vineyards of the Loire valley are within easy reach for day trips, as are the beautiful beaches of the Vendee coast (45 minutes from Les Sables d'Olonne). It is just over a mile from the charming village of Tiffauges, where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and the spectacular "Blue Beard" Chateau to visit (medieval pagants and displays during the summer).
Weddings, family celebrations and events :
For special occasions, there is a large function room. Fully equipped with dining facilities, professional kitchen, dance floor and sound/video system. Additional services can be arranged (catering, DJ, etc.)

Trip Advisor review : "It is situated in a beautiful location with lots of walks. There is a canoe available and we enjoyed paddling up the river and saw kingfishers and herons and other wildlife. The farmhouse is very well equipped and comfortable with lots of quirky extras. The swimming pool was very well used as the weather was fabulous. There are lots of excellent restaurants in Tiffauges but the one we preferred was Aux Archers. We visited the Puy du Fou Grand Park and the Scenie Cinie on Friday evening which was spectacular. The market a Clisson on Friday morning is well worth a visit and the village is very pretty. We had a memorable time at La Ferme and would thoroughly recommend it. "

When we arrived my husband thought I had mis-directed us because it looked so beautiful and that our gite would be somewhere else ! We were warmly greeted by Marie and given a tour of the property - Marie lives nearby and was so helpful all week. It is a beautiful place to spend time. We were still discovering little touches of decor flair at the end of the week. There was plenty of space for all of us. The gite is very well equipped for cooking and for eating, there were two gorgeous dining areas, one inside, the other on the terrace. The pool was fantastic and all of top notch quality. We never tired of the views, and enjoyed walking to Tiffauges, where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the Auberge opposite the chateau. While we were there we already decided we would come again, it was just a question of who we wanted to ask to join us to share such a beautiful house !"

The setting is idyllic; next to the river which you can cross by the footbridge, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The sound of the water wheel is very relaxing. Our 2 sons each had their own rooms with en-suites and TVs. The top floor suite is huge - those white faces are actually chairs!! Marie the manageress is a delight and very helpful."
