Le Bocage offers spacious accommodation in an authentic rural setting. It is situated in a farming hamlet, La Mariniere, 3 miles from the village of Le Poire sur Vie (basic shops, bar, restaurant), 22 miles from the coastal resort of St Gilles Croix de Vie (attractive fishing port, sandy beaches) and within easy reach of Les Sables d'Olonne. There are many holiday activities and places to visit in the area, including the lake with beach and chateau to visit at Apremont (11 miles), the island of Noirmoutier (40 miles) accessed by the famous causeway at low tide and boat trips to the beautiful island of Yeu (1 hour by boat from St Gilles). 12 miles takes you to La Roche sur Yon, the 'capital' of the Vendee which offers a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants, summer events and an indoor fun-pool.

Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor - Large kitchen with dining table and patio doors to terrace, large lounge with patio doors to terrace. Large utility room. Separate toilet. Double bedroom* with en-suite shower & toilet.
First floor - Two double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower room & toilet, bedroom with three single beds and a further bed on request, bathroom (bath and shower), separate toilet.
Washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave, Sat. TV (some international channels in English), DVD. Private heated swimming pool#, (7.5m x 4m with entrance steps, depth 1.5m, exterior shower), terrace with garden dining furniture, bbq, lawn area. The owners live nearby in the hamlet.
A Wi-Fi internet connection can be made available for occasional use. This is in a function room in the hamlet.
Pool open and heated from 12/5 to 15/9, please enquire for dates outide this period.

* The downstairs bedroom with it's en-suite facilities is well adapted for wheelchair users and reduced mobility. The whole ground floor and exterior has slopes rather than steps. When let for smaller groups this bedroom is not made available unless specifically needed for reduced mobility.

#The pool is in a walled area with doors, separating it from the rest of the exterior space, offering a convenient measure for child safety but is backed up by a reinforced pool cover in order to comply with the regulations.
