La Frapperie is set in a rural hamlet in the heart of the attractive countryside of the "Bocage Vendeen". It offers three delightful cottages, Emilien (sleeps 9/11) Heloise (sleeps 8/9) and Adelaide (sleeps4+baby), each having a spacious character interior, with restored beams and stonework and comfortable furnishings. The cottages have individual terraces and lawns to the rear, whilst the front leads to the large heated pool (12m x 6m, heated 10/5 to 4/10). The pool is fully fenced, has a safety alarm, has two sets of wide steps (great for toddlers) and has a toilet/shower block. The nearby village of Beaurepaire (2 miles) offers a bakery, shop, bar and restaurant and the attractive market town of Les Herbiers (3 miles) provides an excellent range of further shops and restaurants. The surrounding area has a wealth of interesting sites and holiday activities, including the fabulous history theme park "Le Puy du Fou". There is also a recreational lake at La Tricherie (12 miles) with a small beach, pedalos & mini-golf. The lovely beaches and ports of the Vendee coast are easily accessible for day trips (54 miles).
