Three character stone cottages, sharing a large heated, fenced pool.
Spacious & comfortable. Sleeping up to 11, 9 & 4+baby.
Two or three cottages can be let together for large groups up to 24.
La Frapperie is set in a hamlet in the "Bocage Vendeen". This area of the north Vendee offers rolling countryside, plenty of holiday activities and many interesting sites to visit. La Frapperie has three delightful cottages, Emilien (sleeps 9/11) Heloise (sleeps 8/9) and Adelaide (sleeps 4+baby), which offer great value family holiday accommodation. Each has a spacious character interior, and comfortable furnishings. The cottages have individual terraces and lawns to the rear, whilst the front leads to the large heated pool (12m x 6m). The pool is fully fenced, has a safety alarm, has two sets of wide steps (great for toddlers) and has a toilet/shower block. Local information:
The nearby village of Beaurepaire (2 miles) offers bakery, grocery, newsagent, post office, pharmacy and bar/restaurant and the attractive market town of Les Herbiers (3 miles) provides a hypermarket, and an excellent range of further shops and restaurants.
The surrounding area has a wealth of interesting sites and holiday activities (SEE BELOW), including the fabulous history theme park "Le Puy du Fou".
There is a recreational lake nearby at La Tricherie (12 miles) with a small beach, pedalos & mini-golf. The lovely beaches and ports of the Vendee coast are easily accessible for day trips - St Jean de Monts, Les Sables d'Olonne and La Tranche sur Mer are all roughly the same distance (around 50 to 55 miles).
Steam train rides From Mortagne sur Sevre. A two and a half hour steam strain ride from Mortagne sur Sevre to Les Herbiers and back again. Through lovely countryside and over three viaducts.
Blue Beard Chateau Tiffauges. Overlooking the river Sevre, this fortified chateau offers a fascinating trip back in time. Demonstrations of medieval warfare machines and a theatrical pagent during July and August.

Booking more than one cottage for large groups:
You can see combined availability easily on this summary chart.
Two or three cottages can be booked together at any time of the season for accommodating large groups, up to 24 people. When all three are booked together the pool is for private sole use.
A Booking Form for each cottage is required, ie each is subject to it's own letting contract, although these can be in the same name if one person is booking on behalf of the whole group.
