This attractive logis have been created in the former farm outbuildings of the chateau estate of Le Thibeuf. This charming historic site has been in the same family since the 17th century and prior to the industrial revolution this courtyard of buildings housed the farm manager, staff, the estate's bakery, the workshops and the stables. The logis been carefully renovated, with great attention to preserving the historic character and features rather than indulging in complete modernity and it provides simple spacious accommodation in a peaceful rural setting. The chateau estate features many century-old trees offering an authentic rural backdrop. The courtyard has a large grassy area and the swimming pool is situated in a separate meadow, surrounded by stone walls and hedges. Access to the pool from the courtyard is by a substantial latched door (with key) for peace of mind with small children (there is also a pool safety alarm, complying with the regulations).
Only 2 miles from the village amenities of Bournezeau (supermarket, bakery, post office, 2 restaurants, tennis courts). 5 miles from a lake (small beach, children's play area, access for windsurfing), 6 miles from the pretty riverside town of Mareuil sur Lay (wine producers, restaurants, canoes on the river). Easy reach of the coast - La Faute sur Mer and La Tranche sur Mer both around 28 miles.
