La Ferme - character historic farmhouse in a riverside setting, private heated pool, large grounds. Sleeping 8 to 10 in 4 bedrooms. OPEN ALL YEAR.
Option of the nearby water mill "Le Moulin", for sleeping 6 more.This beautifully renovated character farmhouse of exceptional quality is set in an idyllic rural location on the banks of the river Sevre and enjoys views over the river. It is just over a mile from the charming village of Tiffauges, where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and the spectacular "Blue Beard" Chateau to visit (medieval pagants and displays during the summer).
The chateaux and vineyards of the Loire valley are within easy reach for day trips, as are the beautiful beaches of the Vendee coast (45 minutes from Les Sables d'Olonne). Each room in the house is superbly decorated on a different theme, offering a unique holiday venue. The delightful shaded terrace with dining furniture looks over the pool and garden towards the river The terrace has a gate and the grounds are fenced.
The open fireplace and full central heating make La Ferme an ideal cosy retreat for an out of season break. Weekend and 5 day options are available in low season - please enquire for prices. A local restaurant can offer meals delivery service 'a la carte'.
Accommodation comprises:
La Ferme, farmhouse sleeping 8 to 10
Ground floor - Fitted kitchen with breakfast table, spacious lounge/dining room, shower room with toilet, utility.
Annex double bedroom (access via terrace) with en-suite bathroom/toilet and mezzanine with extra single bed.
First floor - double bedroom, twin bedroom, bedroom with double & single, bathroom (bath and shower), separate toilet.
Very well equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, microwave, satellite TV (most English channels), DVD, Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi Internet access, fireplace (logs provided) & central heating.
Large gardens (fenced from river). Private heated pool*, 10m x 5m, depth 0,95m to 1,60m, with electrically operated roller-blind safety cover. Barbecue. Sun longers. Parking.
Table tennis, boules, badminton, table football, swings.
*The pool is normally heated from 28th April to 6th October (heating cannot be guaranteed in April or October if unusually cold weather).
