La Nature - Spacious character farmhouse in an authentic rural setting, sleeps 8 to 9, heated pool. Can be let at a reduced price for up to 6 people outside 4/6 to 3/9.

"La Nature" is situated on a former farm in a tranquil rural hamlet, amongst delightful wooded countryside. The house is carefully restored, retaining all its authentic charm and traditional features, and the owners have used mostly natural materials and low-carbon methods, respecting the environment. There is a stream at just 100 metres, offering pleasant strolls and fishing (permits available locally) as well as further rambling and cycling trails through the attractive countryside. The house benefits from a walled heated pool (occasional use by the owners, but only by agreement) and an attractive courtyard garden which is fenced for peace of mind with small children. There is also access to the orchard behind, giving plenty of space for games.
The nearby village of St Martin des Noyers (just over 2 miles) provides a bakery, shop and bar and there is a bar and take-away in St Hilaire le Vouhis (just over 1 mile). The pretty town of Chantonnay (5 miles) has a good range of shops and restaurants and a supermarket. The coast is within easy reach (La Faute sur Mer 31 miles) and there is a lake with restaurant and children's play area at just 7 miles. The owners live on site, but entirely separate.
NB: This property has easy access from the motorway, but is at several miles from the motorway and there is therefore no noise or inconvenience.

Accommodation comprises:
Ground floor - Large open-plan lounge/dining room with wood burner, well equipped kitchen, twin bedroom with door to covered patio, bedroom with double and single beds, bathroom with toilet.
First floor - Double bedroom, twin bedroom, shower room with toilet.
Terrace (wooden deck) with garden dining furniture, barbecue, enclosed courtyard garden, access to orchard for games, parking, heated walled pool (9m x 4m, depth 0.90m to 1.5m, with entrance steps and salt water treatment, open 23/4 to 1/10). Well equipped, including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, TV (French channels), DVD player, under-floor central heating. Bed linen hire available. Quilts, blankets, rectangular pillows supplied.
