The chateau estate of "Le Chateau du Pavillon" is set on the outskirts
of the pretty village of Rochserviere and has two character 3 bedroom cottages and a large shared swimming pool (14m
x 7m, depth 0.8m to 2.4m, with safety alarm*). Each cottage has it's
own terrace area and they are set amongst the trees near the entrance to the estate and have use of the 20 acre grounds. Both cottages feature exposed stone,
original beams and terracotta floors and are comfortably furnished, each bedroom having it's own en-suite bathroom.
The village amenities and the river Boulogne are within walking distance (500 - 700m). The Vendee coast
can be reached in about 45 minutes, the nearest resorts being St
Jean de Monts, St Gilles Croix-de-Vie and the island of Noirmoutier.
The historic town centre of Nantes is easily accessible (30 minutes)
and the famous history theme park "Le Puy du Fou" is at
just 45 minutes. The pool and grounds are shared between these two
cottages and B&B guests in the chateau. There is a shared games room
with table tennis and table football as well as a shaded eating area overlooking the pool. The pool is open from 24/5 to 27/9. * NB: Whilst the pool is not fenced, the distance to the pool and the fenced terrace area allow peace of mind with small children. (Click to see aerial photo of the site.) Both cottages are similar in layout and furnishing and can be let together for groups of up to 12 people. Cottage Melusine - sleeps 6 in 3 en-suite bedrooms: Ground floor - Large open-plan lounge / dining room with fitted kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor - Double bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet, twin bedroom (can be made large double) with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower) and toilet, twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower) and toilet. Cottage Carabosse - sleeps 6 in 3 en-suite bedrooms: Ground floor - Large open-plan lounge / dining room with fitted kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor - Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (bath and shower) and toilet, twin bedroom (can be made large double) with en-suite bathroom and toilet, twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and toilet.
