Les Roseaux - Character rural cottage with private heated pool, sleeping 8.

This charming cottage offers character accommodation in a perfectly tranquil rural location. It is set in the Vendee 'marais', where time stands still and the woodlands and water courses abound with wildlife. A perfect spot for walking or cycling (cycle hire available locally) and well situated for visiting the famous canals of "Green Venice". It features a private heated pool (9m x 4m, depth 1.1m to 1.6m, with entrance steps) which has a surrounding wall and safety gate for peace of mind with small children. The property enjoys a grassy garden that looks onto pleasant countryside as well as an eye-catching interior with tasteful furnishings.
There are village amenities at just 3 miles, including bakery, shop, bar, restaurant, tennis and the local baker delivers to the door. The pretty towns of Lucon and Fontenay le Comte (shops supermarkets, weekly market) are both easily accessible (13 miles) as are the beaches of the Vendee coast (La Faute sur Mer 24 miles). The historic town of La Rochelle is within easy reach (30 miles). Airport 35 miles - ideal for fly-drive.

Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and toilet. Two further twin bedrooms. Bathroom. Separate toilet. Terrace with garden dining furniture, bbq. Pool-side terrace with sun-loungers. Completely enclosed garden. Table tennis. Parking. Satellite TV (some international channels in English), DVD. Electric heating. The owners live nearby, but the pool and garden is private and not overlooked. Pool open and heated 5/5 to 22/9.
