The pretty village of Apremont (8 miles), with its lake (beach, pedalos, canoes) and 16th century chateau to visit. Island of Noirmoutier (by bridge or by causeway at low tide) 23 miles. Nature reserve at L'Ile d'Olonne (23 miles). Resort town of Les Sables D'Olonne - port, zoo, salt production, spa baths (27 miles). The picturesque Island of Yeu (1 hour by boat from St Gilles Croix-de-Vie). Natural history museum at La Barre de Monts (22 miles). Perfumed gardens at Coex- 100's of exotic plants (12 miles). History theme park "Le Puy du Fou" (about 1 hour).
Golf: Coex (12 miles), St Jean de Monts (13 miles). The owners can arrange reservations.
