An incredible history theme park that's a simply unique experience. Prepare
yourselves for an unforgettable voyage through time. 3rd century: The
roman amphitheatre with spectacular chariot races, gladiators fighting
lions and tigers.
10th Century: A Viking long boat attacks a village - stunning special
effects. 14th Century: A recreated medeival village, with its craftsmen,
minstrals, tavern... 15th Century: During a jousting competition, the
castle is attacked by seige engines and a spectacular horseback battle
ensues. 18th Century: faithful recreation of village life set in authentic
buildings, correct to the last stone. 1900: Walk down the main street
of a turn of the century market town, browse the traditional shops and
see the fabulous automata exhibition.
Set in 150 acres of beautiful parkland, with attractions and activities
around every corner. The 'Grand Parc' is open all summer and no need to
reserve (allow a full day from 10am to 6pm). The night-time son-et-lumiere
is by reservation only (book well in advance of your holiday)

The chateau of Tiffauges houses an impressive museum of medeival war machines. See demonstrations of battle techniques and weapons or just walk around the ramparts and absorb the atmosphere of a by-gone age.
