Who will be handling my enquiry and the booking ?
For these villas, our partner company Select Villas will be replying to your enquiry and will be able to answer any questions that you may have about the accommodation and facilities. They will be handling the booking process.
Will I know exactly which villa I am renting ?
Select Villas will propose an available property that meets your requirements and will provide you with the exact description, plus any photos that you may need to make your decision. Note that in particular there may be variations in the bedroom configurations, so you should specify your preferences for this aspect.
Are my holiday dates available ?
The calendar shown on the property page is regularly updated to show the overall availability for this type of villa. If the period is Green there will be a villa of this type available. If it is Red, then there are no villas of this type left available for this period. You will also see that there is an availability summary in the main site menu that allows you to check across all properties at a glance.
Can we do other than a Saturday to Saturday rental ?
Within mid July to late August - no it's not possible, only the standard changeover day (Saturday).
Outside these dates, yes you can have an offset start / end day at no extra cost.
Can we have 10 or 12 night rental ?
Within mid July to late August - no it's not possible, only full weeks, 7, 14, 21 nights.
Outside these dates, yes any duration will be possible. The price is generally calculated pro-rata.
What price for these dates ?
Consult the pricing table on the property page and find the dates that correspond. The standard rental price per 7 nights is shown, in Euros. There are often discounts applicable to the standard prices shown, depending on when you make the booking, and further discounts for a fortnight booking or longer. The prices shown in green will show the discount that depends on the date that you make the booking. The long stay discount will apply in addition to this at any time. If you are looking for 10 - 12 nights or other durations you will get a specific quote. Please ensure that you have looked at the Charges and Options section and that you have noted any extras that would be payable. Note that some of the site facilities, for example the tennis, the cycle hire, are not free of charge and are paid on site.
Can I book on-line ?
Sorry, we don't participate in the automated booking schemes proposed by some of the major publicity sites. There are good reasons for this and both ourselves and Select Villas much prefer the personal contact with clients. Please note that you get the same security of booking through an established company.
Is the swimming pool sole use ?
For all these villas, where a swimming pool is stated in the property description, then it is for sole use. There is also the possibility of a few villas without a swimming pool, which is a more ecomomical option. This is subject to a specific quotation. In both cases you have access to the large communal pool on site.
Is the swimming pool heated ?
Pool heating on individual pools is a paid option (€20 per day, applicable for the full duration of your stay). There may be a restriction on the dates for which this is possible, but generally May to September. If this option is taken, the heating will be switched on well before your arrival.
Is there internet at the property ?
The site has a communal fibre WiFi system that you can log into. It is available 24/24, but please note that there may be peak periods of use where the bandwidth available may be limited.
How far is it to the nearest beach, to amenities ?
See the Locality Details section for the exact distances to local amenities. Note that on the site there is a good restaurant, as well as a bar, snack bar and a bread shop (June to September only). Hiring bicycles is recommended to get the best from your stay and to be able to cycle to the nearest beaches (book this in advance).
Are sheets and towels included in the rental ?
Yes, one set of sheets and towels are provided and the beds are made for your arrival. You can pay for a change of linen mid-stay if you wish - see the Charges and Options section.
Can we add more people, extra beds, etc. ?
The maximum sleeping capacity is indicated on the villa details. A baby in a cot is allowed over this number - note that space is limited in the bedrooms. You are not allowed to exceed this number, nor add additional guests, or visitors sleeping over.
How do I ask a question or make a reservation ?
Use the specific contact form available from the link on the property page. This will be sent directly to Select Villas, who will reply to your request within a few hours. Whilst you can of course contact Vendee-Gites for information and advice on these villas, it will be quicker for you to make the direct contact as above.
When will the payment be due ?
An initial deposit of 30% is required to secure the reservation (by card or by bank transfer). The remainder at 8 weeks before the holiday dates (same method). Reservations within the 8 weeks of the rented dates require the full payment.
What are the terms and conditions of rental ?
Select Villas will supply you with the full terms and conditions of rental. These may differ from the generic terms that are published on the Vendee-Gites website and applicable for other properties.
